Solution

Priority One was to refresh the design of the site, reorganize the product selection, optimize their pages for search relevancy, register with the top search engines and develop an annual marketing campaign.

The new site allows greater product and pricing control so Elegant Gourmet can better serve it’s retail and wholesale customers while allowing administrators greater control with item management.

Results

Site update work was completed in January, and in the first quarter of 2005 elegantgourmet.com saw a 30% increase in site traffic over the last quarter of 2004 and direct mail click-through rates near 24% and accelerating sales.

With the launch mid-2005 of an entirely new site design, product catalogue management system, shopping cart and self-service administrative features daily traffic to the site is up 30% and sales have increased 67% over the same period the prior year.
