![]() DescriptionThe Medical Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC), the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games (SLOC), and the Congress Organizing Committee organized a symposium on exercise and sport sciences—the 6th IOC World Congress—scheduled to be held during the week of September 16-21, 2001. Sport scientists and physicians were invited from the biological, physical, behavioral, and medical disciplines to share their knowledge (theoretical, applied, and clinical) with an international audience of physicians, therapists, scientists, and coaches. ScopeThe IOC World Congress and Paralympic Congress sites both can be divided into three main deliverables:
