Description

The Official Website of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games was a combination of a corporate organizational website for SLOC and during Games Time, actual coverage of the 2002 games ranging from competition recaps to organizing committee news and information.

Scope

Peak Systems was hired by Qwest Communications to develop the first several renditions of the Official Salt Lake 2002.com site.  As a result of Peaks integration into the SLOC team, Peak remained on staff and took part in the partnership with MSNBC and NBC to develop the games time production.

Results

The Official Salt Lake 2002 and NBC Olympics websites were largely considered the most successful and most visited event specific website in history and the model for all future Olympic games.
