Peak Systems Increases Online Curb Appeal of Suzanne Perkins’ Properties
Suzanne Perkins is an elite Realtor working in the Santa Barbara office of Sotheby’s International Realty. Ms. Perkins needed a website that conveyed the unparalleled beauty of the Santa Barbara area and the elegance of her ultra high-end properties. Her portfolio is comprised of sumptuous estates, equestrian properties, beach houses and sprawling coastal ranches.
Ms. Perkins hired Peak Systems to design her new website. The challenge that Peak faced was how to best present Suzanne’s remarkable properties to potential buyers online. To do the properties justice and to compel site visitors to contact Suzanne, Peak needed to make the experience as close as possible to seeing her properties in person. In short, Suzanne’s exceptional properties deserve and require an exceptional website.

Solution
Peak built the site around Suzanne’s featured listings in accordance with her desire for the website’s focus to be on her properties (rather than herself or the area, although there is plenty of information about them as well). Peak created quick-loading slideshows using stunning, ultra high-resolution photographs of the interior and exterior of her listings. Peak maintains the site as well, converting the conventional photographs that Suzanne sends us into pieces of a Flash-based slideshow and adding or removing properties as needed.
Suzanne arranges for aerial videos for many of her properties. After a helicopter crew and videographers obtain the footage, Peak encodes it and uploads it to a Content Delivery Network (CDN). Hosting the videos on a CDN ensures that the streaming videos will load extremely quickly, regardless of the viewer’s location in the world.
Since expending all of this effort on the site would be futile if potential clients don’t visit, Peak also manages a Pay Per Click advertising campaign to drive potential clients to the site.
Results
Suzanne Perkins, was named the #1 Realtor in America by transaction value at the 2008 National Association of Realtors® Conference and Expo in Orlando, Florida on November 6, 2008.
In 2009, SuzannePerkins.com received a WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development.
